EAC and UNICEF partnership project improved access to education for out of school children in South Sudan, and reached 24,300 out of school children with quality education.
The EAC-UNICEF South Sudan project will is working to increase access to quality primary education for out of school children in South Sudan by:
- Building schools,
- Providing education materials,
- Building the capacity of teachers, and
- Taking special measures to retain students in schools.
Children’s learning and progression into higher grades is a special focus of the project. The project is implemented in counties with high numbers of returnees and out of school population.
The project reached 24,300 children with quality primary education.
