EAA Nominated for PIEoneer Awards 2023
The Education Above All (EAA) Foundation is honoured to be nominated for the prestigious 2023 PIEoneer Awards for its Internet Free Education Resource Bank (IFERB) materials. The nomination is a recognition of the Foundation’s commitment to providing innovative solutions in the field of education.
The PIEoneer Awards celebrate innovation and achievement in the global education industry and recognize individuals and organizations who are pushing professional standards, evolving their engagement, or redefining the international student experience.
The COVID-19 pandemic forced schools around the world to close, leaving millions of students without access to education. In response to this, Education Above All created IFERB, an accessible collection of cost-free and technology-free project-based learning resources, games, and activities for exploratory and student-led learning in low-resource contexts. With its extensive collection of resources available in 15+ languages, IFERB covers a wide range of subjects, including maths, science, and English. IFERB ensures that learning remains accessible to all, bridging the educational gap caused by the pandemic and empowering students to continue their education. In addition, the IFERB resources contain bespoke holistic materials to support Afghan Refugees and Ukrainian Refugees.
“We are honoured to be nominated for the PIEoneer Awards,” said Janhvi M Kanoria, Director of the Innovation Development Directorate at Education Above All, [position] at the Education Above All Foundation. “This nomination is a testament to our commitment to innovation to improve education for children and youth around the world. We are grateful to the PIEoneer Awards for recognizing our work and we look forward to continuing to innovate in the field of education.”
The PIEoneer Awards will be held on Friday 22 September in London. The EAA Foundation is one of five finalists for the award. This recognition reaffirms the EAA’s remarkable commitment to transforming education and addressing the critical challenges faced by students worldwide.
